Recorded in Chicago on October 24th 1929 featuring Bennie Moten director, Ed Lewis and Booker Washington trumpets, Thamon Hayes trombone, Eddie Durham trombone & guitar, Harlan Leonard clarinet, soprano, & alto sax, Jack Washington clarinet, alto, & baritone sax, Woody Walder clarinet & tenor sax, Ira "Buster" Moten and Count Basie piano, Leroy Berry banjo, Vernon Page tuba, and Willie McWashington drums.

*"Sweetheart Of Yesterday" was composed by Holt, Sanders, and Moten.

Eddie Durham has an exceptional and rather long guitar solo here, which lasts a delightful thirty bars.

The "Sanders" listed as co-composer, is Joe Sanders of "Coon-Sanders Nighthawks" who was also probably responsible for arranging the tune.
