This recording was made in New York City on December 3rd 1923 with Armand J. Piron violin & vocals, Peter Bocage trumpet, John Lindsay trombone, Lorenzo Tio Jr. clarinet & tenor sax, Louis Warnecke alto sax, Steve Lewis piano, Charles Bocage banjo & vocals, Bob Ysaguirre bass brass, and Louis Cottrell drums.
*"Kiss Me Sweet" was co-composed by Steve J. Lewis and Armand J. Piron.
Armand Piron's was one of the most popular bands in New Orleans during the 1920's. In 1923 they traveled to New York and played at the Cotton Club and Roseland. In 1915 Piron and Clarence Williams had started the Piron and Williams Publishing Company and in their first year of business published Armand Piron's "I Wish That I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate" which naturally became his biggest hit.
