This recording was produced in New York City on September 9th 1927 featuring Ed Kirkeby director, Chelsea Quealey and Frank Crush trumpet, Abe Lincoln trombone, Bobby Davis and Arnold Brilhardt clarinet, alto, & soprano sax, Sam Ruby tenor sax, Adrian Rollini bass sax, Jack Russin piano, Tommy Felline banjo, and Herb Weill drums & kazoo.

*"Cornfed" was composed by Bob Effros and Phil Wall.

This Fall 1927 Okeh release features the sensational pop jazz group the "California Ramblers" appearing as an orchestra billed under the name Ted Wallace. The name was a pseudonym frequently used by the band's director Ed Kirkeby.
